How Noon works

The simplest way to meet someone new at UofT — one match, once a week, every Friday at noon.

01

Create your profile

Sign up with your email, then spend 5 minutes filling out your profile. Your campus (UTSG, UTM, or UTSC), year of study, program, what you're looking for, a bio, and a few interesting questions that actually reveal who you are. The AI reads all of this to find your match.

02

Enter the pool each week

Every week, there's a 48-hour window to raise your hand. Sign-up opens Saturday at 12:00 PM Eastern and closes Thursday at 12:00 PM Eastern. Just press the button in your dashboard. One click. That's it.

03

AI does the matching

Our proprietary matching engine analyzes everyone in the pool — your interests, goals, program, campus, what you've said you're looking for, and even how you answered the deeper questions. It scores compatibility across all these dimensions to find the best pairing for each person.

04

Matches reveal Friday at noon ☀️

Every Friday at 12:00 PM Eastern, your match is revealed in your dashboard. You'll see their full profile, what they're looking for, and — crucially — how to reach them (Instagram, Discord, phone, whatever they added). Reach out and say hi. Be the first.

05

No repeats, no pressure

You'll never be matched with the same person twice. If you don't enter the pool one week, no worries — just enter the next one. Every week is fresh, low-stakes, and a real chance to meet someone meaningful.

Questions

Is Noon only for dating?
Not at all. Noon is for anyone looking to expand their network at UofT — whether that's finding friends, a co-founder, a research collaborator, a study buddy, a mentor, or yes, someone to date. You choose what you're looking for in your profile.
What if I'm not matched one week?
It happens! If you're in the pool but not matched, it means we couldn't find a compatible pairing for you that week. This can happen if the pool is small, or if your compatibility scores didn't line up with anyone available. Just try again the next week — pools change, and so does compatibility.
Is my contact info public?
No. Your social handles and contact info are only ever shown to the one person you're matched with, and only after the Friday noon reveal. Nobody else can see it.
Can I update my profile later?
Yes — your profile is always editable. Head to the Profile page and update anything you like. Changes take effect for the next week's matching.
What campuses does Noon cover?
All three UofT campuses: St. George (UTSG), Mississauga (UTM), and Scarborough (UTSC). You specify your campus in your profile, and we factor this into matching — though we can absolutely match across campuses when the compatibility is high enough.
How does the AI matching work?
Our proprietary engine scores each potential pair across multiple dimensions: shared interests, complementary goals (e.g., both want co-founders), campus proximity, year of study, and what you revealed in the deeper profile questions. The "unpopular opinion" and "current obsession" fields are particularly telling — people with interesting, compatible answers on these tend to make great matches. It's not a simple filter; it's a real compatibility score.
Do I have to enter the pool every week?
Nope. You only get matched in weeks you choose to enter. Your profile stays saved, so entering is just one click whenever you're ready.
